Hello, hello. I'm Amanda.
I'm native Michigander, eBook creator, and lover of all things publishing. I received my bachelor's in English and creative writing from Hope College in 2010, followed by a move to Boston in 2012 to attend Emerson College. I graduated with my master's in publishing and writing in May of 2014. After living and working in Boston for a few years, I am now back home in Southeast Michigan working as a Senior Digital Publishing Coordinator for Michigan Publishing Services, a division of Michigan Publishing within the University of Michigan Library. My professional focuses are eBook development, metadata management, book project management, digital asset delivery and distribution, copyediting, and book (print and digital) production workflows.
As a publishing professional both as a student and after my formal education, I have worked with:
- Sleeping Bear Press
- Hope College's OPUS and Anchor
- The Good Men Project
- Pearson North America
- The MIT Press
I also spend time as a freelancer, specializing in copyediting. My freelance services include:
- HTML5/XML/EPUB composition and editing
